  Who We Are

Our House of Minnesota, Inc is a non-profit corporation which operates two group homes serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The homes are located in the Merriam Park neighborhood of St. Paul, each home provides the opportunity for six individuals to live in a setting which promotes independence while providing necessary support and assistance.
The residents have a wide range of skills and needs. Programs provide stimulation and individualized opportunities to learn, develop, and improve life skills such as self-care, social interaction, homemaking, leisure time use, and vocational planning. The goal is to improve self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence.
All of our residents have homemaking responsibilities, which can vary from carrying plates to the table to preparing a complete meal. During the day everyone either works in sheltered employment or attends an education program designed to teach pre-vocational/vocational skills.
Our House is managed by a volunteer board of directors and an administrator. Members of the program staff provide twenty-four hour assistance to the residents.
Six individuals live in each group home. Both homes are licensed as Intermediate Care Facilities for adults with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/DD), and regulated through ICF/DD regulations, Department of Human Services (DHS), and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) regulations.

For information please call Dennis Holman, Administrator, at 651-646-1104.
